FMS maintains eight local chapters across the country. Each is autonomous, separately incorporated, and led and managed by local volunteer members of the Society.
The chapters' primary purposes are education and networking, accomplished principally through monthly dinner meetings with industry experts addressing the most significant accounting, asset/liability management, regulatory, auditing, and operational issues confronting the industry.
Generally, chapters will conduct anywhere from six to eight monthly meetings annually,in addition to several social events such as golf outings, holiday parties, officer installation dinners, etc.
Dinners and meetings are open to both members and non-members of the Chapter, and are an excellent forum to build a local network of contacts and to garner varied insights on the multitude of issues confronting financial institutions today.
