Accounting 201 for Financial Institutions
Keeping up with evolving generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is one thing. Honing your accounting skills AND being able to effectively apply them within the financial institutions space, is quite another.
If you’re new to the financial institutions industry, or are a veteran looking for a comprehensive refresher to enhance and refine your accounting knowledge, join FMS in Baltimore this October for a 1.5 day seminar, Accounting 101 and 201 for Financial Institutions.
The first half of this seminar will be focused on Accounting 101 where attendees will gain a better understanding of accounting fundamentals for financial institutions:
- Key accounting fundamentals as they relate to financial institutions ~ Accounting 101
- GAAP and its application to financial institutions ~ Accounting 101
- How to apply significant accounting practices ~ Accounting 101
At the completion of the Accounting 101 portion of the seminar, each participant will have the option of continuing to focus on the Accounting 101 fundamentals above or moving into the more advanced Accounting 201 track. The Accounting 201 track will provide the attendees a better understanding of more advanced items including the following:
- Unique and often troublesome accounting matters ~ Accounting 201
- Recent trends and regulations in financial reporting ~ Accounting 201
