Robert B. Segal
Chief Executive Officer, Atlantic Capital Strategies, Inc.

Robert Segal is the founder and CEO of Atlantic Capital Strategies, Inc., which provides investment advisory services for financial institutions. He has over 35 years of experience in the banking industry, having worked in several community banks with roles in mortgage banking sales, trading and ALM. Bob is also currently a Director-at-Large on the FMS Board of Directors.


Christopher J. Nelson, CFA
Senior Vice President, Director of Finance & Treasury/Chief Investment Officer, Bangor Savings Bank

Chris Nelson is Director of Finance & Treasury and Chief Investment Officer for Bangor Savings Bank, a $4.5 billion independent community bank based in Bangor, Maine. He is responsible for managing the bank’s $1 billion investment portfolio, as well as supervising the bank’s financial operations relating to liquidity and funds management, asset/liability and interest rate risk management, loan and deposit pricing, hedging and derivative activities, and international services.

Chris is the creator of Bond Investment Mentor, a website and podcast dedicated to helping community bankers learn about fixed income investments and portfolio management. In addition, he is a faculty member for the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado’s Community Bank Investments School and Executive Development Institute programs. Chris previously served on the faculty at the Graduate School of Bank Investments and Financial Management at the University of South Carolina and has served as an adjunct instructor for the University of Maine Business School. He has also been a featured speaker at Darling Consulting Group’s annual Balance Sheet Management Conference in Boston. Chris is a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society Maine, and serves on the Member Advisory Panel for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston.

Chris has been involved in banking and investments for more than 28 years. He is a graduate of Excelsior College with a B.S. degree in Finance and the New England College of Business and Finance with a M.S. degree in Finance. Chris received his Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute in 1999.
